Easter, my birthday, Sinco de mayo, and anything else we missed.

Easter- we went to 3 Easter egg hunts this year, and Benson got less than 5 eggs total. I take the blame for the first two- we were about 20 seconds late to both, and by the time we got there, all the eggs were long gone!

The last Easter egg hunt was at Albertsons, and I made sure to get there early. We had plenty of time to spare, but by the time the hunt started, there were rows of people waiting at the opening of the boundaries of the hunt. Because of the way the hunt was set up, I couldn't help benson with out being an uncomfortable distance away from Eden (and my purse) sleeping in the stroller.  I didn't want to leave her alone with that many people, so I tried to coach benson from the sidelines.  Benson was clingy and didn't want to leave my side, but I was determined that this hunt would be a success. I forced him out there and was giving him all the verbal clues he needed, but it was all in vain.  Every other toddler had a parent beside them helping, so poor Benson was wondering around alone, and on the brink of tears. It was obvious that he was way too slow to find any, but he miraculously came back with one. I'm sure that some parent looked at him and took pity on him, and just gave him one of their child's 25 eggs. I am apparently much more competitive than Benson is when it comes to free candy. 

Grandma Vicki's Easter baskets made up for the disappointing Easter egg hunts though!

My birthday present from James. He also

 threw me a fun party that night that was a complete surprise! To top it off, my parents were there for the week. 

My Mother's Day present from James. Cruiser bike, complete with a bell. Now all it needs is a basket and ribbons hanging from the handlebars.

Grandpa and Grandma Phelps came into town and took us to dinner. We had a great time and the kids loved all the extra attention!
